Speaking with Billboard, Bow Wow took a stroll down memory lane saying that the ‘Goodies” singer “was on fire” when they released their collaboration  “Like You,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2005 and number No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

“She was about to be certified triple-platinum on her first album, Goodies,” Bow Wow said “It just made so much sense at that time in the moment of my life when we were together to record that song.”

“I was the youngest, hottest cat in the game. She was the youngest, hottest female in the game and at that time we were dating,” he continued.

“It just made perfect sense for us to collaborate together on a Jermaine Dupri product,” Bow Wow added. “And boom, there you have it — No. 1 out the gate.”

He went on to explain that dating another celebrity in the music industry “wasn’t tricky.” 

 “It’s been done before,” he shared. “I think with us, it was the timing. It was effortless. It just made sense.”

“It was the perfect marriage for that record, and nobody else could have sung that hook and did that verse like how she delivered on that record.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Bow Wow shared that he’s releasing his first record in more than five years, linking up with Chris Brown for his new record “Use Me.” Sampling Murder Inc’s “Down Ass Chick,” Bow Wow says the song is another song effort between him and Brown.

“It’s hard to deny nostalgia,” says Bow Wow. “When you see two artists come together that don’t necessarily need one another — like, Chris doesn’t need Bow, and he does what he does, and you’re here with me now, and I’m doing what I’m doing — we and the fans know that when we come together as a collective, expect nothing but greatness. During a recent Interview on on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, when asked about Brown, Bow expresses “that dude is hilarious,” he said. “If they believe that, something wrong with them. They crazy as hell. … That dude is smart, he knows what he’s doing, he ain’t no fool … I seen an interview where he said ‘people pay me … how much the money is determines am I going to be crazy.’”

Bow Wow isn’t the first person Orlando Brown has made allegations against. Nick Cannon also previously denied having a sexual involvement with the former child actor.

“After I lost my virginity, I’m thinking—I don’t know if this is every young man when he lose his virginity—but I’m like, ‘How can I get more?’” he said. “’How can I get more of this?’ And, like, do I ask? Like, I don’t even know how I get it. And that’s not having a father. I’m out here in the wild, OG … I don’t even know how to get to the panties again. I don’t know.”

Things shifted when he got older and “cracked the code,” especially between the ages of 18 and 19, as he became immersed in the nightlife scene.

“I was able to go out and enjoy Atlanta, and enjoy these beautiful places … that we enjoyed so much,” Bow Wow explained. “It changed, you know what I mean? It definitely changed. Big time.”

Like, the past two days just didn’t feel right. ‘Cause there was no motion, there was no parties. There was nowhere to go. Like – no, the industry parties that we attend, [not the ‘freak-offs’]. Like, me, the you [the interviewer], the terraces. Once again, I’m separating it, right? I’m talking about him as the artist, the person, right?”

He continued: “[It shows] how monumental and how important he was to the culture,” Bow Wow expressed. “Because I said, ‘Jermaine, I just, there’s no parties.’ Every year, dude had the – And you feel it. It’s like a hole, it’s like, ‘Damn.’ He was just such a gatekeeper, from the liquor in the clubs. Like, he was everything hip-hop. You know what I mean? He just stepped your hustle game up, you know what I mean? So it’s sad and it’s messed up that we got to witness this in this time. But it’s f***ed up. Diddy’s sex trafficking case gets a trial date:

According to reporter Cathy Russon, the case is set to go to trial in May of 2025.

Diddy was taken into federal custody in New York. According to TMZ, Homeland Security found Diddy at a Midtown hotel on late Monday evening. He was arrested him for racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. All of Diddy’s attempts at bail were denied.

Bow Wow shared the sweet moment on Instagram, writing: “Happy b-day @_shaimoss — my daughter 14! On the last night of the Millennium Tour, she got her uncles @chrisbrownofficial and @rayj to sing. What a moment!”

He added with a laugh: “PS: Ray said, ‘What if CB wasn’t here? I would’ve had to sing this alone??? That’s not OK!’ #MillenniumTour25 — threw her party inside The Forum!!!”

Bow Wow previously shared an emotional moment he shared with his now 14-year-old, Shai, during Christmas.

“You’re my day one. I know if I need anything, I know to call you. I’m so happy God chose you to be my dad,” Shai said. “I wish every little girl [could] experience having a father figure like you and have the relationship we have.”
