Tory Lanez isn’t letting prison or the lack of his fingerprints on the gun slow him down. The rapper, who was convicted in December 2022 for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, denies the allegations, maintains his innocence and recently doubled down on his claims during an interview on the Full Send podcast.
Speaking from behind bars, Lanez insisted that his DNA was not found on the gun used in the 2020 shooting. “Ninety percent contributor on this gun is a male and the rest of the percentages of this gun are two females and another male,” he said. “None of those four people are my DNA. So, I’m 100 percent excluded, not inconclusive like they said when I was in trial.” He also claimed his fingerprints were completely absent from the gun, magazine, and bullets.
Lanez also announced that he’s dropping a new album on Friday, March 7th, promising it won’t sound like a jailhouse recording. His recent recording session was unexpectedly interrupted by a prison riot. Footage shows him rapping over the phone before suddenly stopping as chaos broke out.The clip appeared to show him getting pepper-sprayed, but he kept filming.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion is moving forward with her defamation lawsuit. She accuses blogger Milagro Gramz of spreading false information about her. As part of the case, a judge has granted permission for Lanez to be deposed while serving his sentence. Megan’s legal team argues that his testimony is crucial. They want to investigate Gramz’s actions and her alleged financial ties to Lanez’s father. They claim Gramz helped spread deepfake videos and harassed Megan on Lanez’s behalf.
While Lanez continues to fight for his freedom, his legal battles are far from over. With new music on the way and a deposition ahead, he remains at the center of controversy.
