Former talk show host, Montel Williams, defends a resurfaced viral with VP Kamala Harris.
We previously reported that President Joe Biden announced his withdraw from the presidential election race on Sunday (July 21). “My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” tweeted Biden.
“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”
VP Harris shared her sentiments following Biden’s withdrawal. “On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country. I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”
She continued: “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. If you’re with me, add a donation right now.”
Following the announcement, a video of Harris and talk show host Montel Williams resurfaced online. In the video, the two were holding hands walking a red carpet. “Did you know that @KamalaHarris was once an escort and that she got her career. Here she is “dating” @Montel_Williams in 2001, who appears to be holding hands with more than one woman at the same time on the red carpet” tweet Laura Lommer.
However, Williams denied those allegations- making it clear that he was holding Harris’ and his daughter’s hand. “As most of you know, that is my daughter to my right and I’ve asked @LauraLoomer not to target my kids who aren’t public figures. She keeps hiding my tweet.”
Williams also made it clear that he fully supports and endorses VP Harris. “Today, I am proud to voice my full support and offer my full endorsement to Vice President @KamalaHarris to be the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States” he retweeted.
