However, Cohen, a lawyer who’s represented artists like Kodak Black, wasted no time refuting Ja Rule’s accusations. Taking to Instagram, Cohen explained why the documents didn’t hold up. “The gun came from a stop and search of his vehicle. There was no ‘snitch’ involved in his case,” Cohen clarified, addressing Ja Rule’s claims that 50 Cent was a federal informant during the Murder Inc. investigation over 20 years ago. Cohen also pointed out flaws in the documents Ja Rule presented, explaining that police reports don’t name informants. “This document lists an informant. 1. Police reports don’t name informants by name 2. We know it’s not Curtis because they are listing people hurt, including a. Informant b. Curtis c. Marvin (whoever that is),” Cohen said. He concluded, “His theory is debunked by the very paperwork. Dumb people would ignore the commas between the names. Don’t be a dummy.”

Ja Rule’s frustration with 50 Cent escalated after the latter’s remarks about Gotti, his close friend and label boss. “I was hot, I was ready to go nuclear and sh*t,” Ja Rule admitted. “Prem [DJ Premier] said it best […] He said, ‘Rule, you got to understand who we are and what we are. Taking to social media, FredWreck shared that the person(s) behind the leaks will receive street law. The statement would be considered a “threat” by the producer.

FredWreck tweeted: “FYI to the criminal who’s leaking the Eminem music. We will find you. Street law will be applied. Ask “Koolo” what happened to him last time he leaked. We know where he lives, and Yes, this is a threat.”

Teaming up with influential organizations like REFORM Alliance, Ladies of Hope Ministries, and Ivi Shano, co-founder of Sei Less Restaurant, Ja Rule orchestrated a heartwarming event. The initiative aimed to uplift 40 mothers and their children, who have been deeply impacted by the criminal justice system, through a shared meal and personal interactions with the “Always on Time” hitmaker. While having a meal, Ja Rule shared his inspiration to create a song dedicated to his mother.

Ja Rule served two years in prison for failure to file taxes and criminal possession of a weapon. He was sentenced in 2011 and released in 2013.

Ladies of Hope Ministries helps women after prison, while REFORM works to fix criminal justice inconsistencies, especially those involving minorities. Ja Rule will perform at the Masters of Ceremony on June 29 at the Barclay’s Center. The lineup includes DaBaby, Jim Jones, Ghostface Killah, The Lox, and many more.

Beginning in March 2025 in New Zealand, the tour includes 54 dates across North America,  Australia, and Europe. The “Hot In Herre’ rapper will be accompanied by Ja Rule, Eve, Jermaine Dupri, The St. Lunatics, Chingy, and Fabolous. Additional surprise guests will be named later. 

In a statement, Nelly expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour.

“Yo, ‘Where Da Party At Tour’ we are taking this tour worldwide — I got my folks with me Ja Rule, Jermaine Dupri, Eve, the St. Lunatics, and Fabulous — so you know it’s up all 2025… LETS GOOOOO..!!! Da Party AT…!!,” Nelly stated.

According to Live Nation, the shows will be  Nelly’s most “extensive tour to date.”  The U.S. leg begins on July 25 in Virginia Beach. Stops also include major cities such as Toronto, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, and Nashville.

In Australia and New Zealand, it will be Nelly, St. Lunatics, Chingy, and Jermaine Dupri. Dates in Canada will feature Nelly, Ja Rule, Chingy, and Jermaine Dupri. Across Europe and The UK, Nelly, Eve, Fabolous, and Jermaine Dupri will be performing. On the US and Toronto leg of the tour, Nelly, Ja Rule, Eve, Chingy, and  Jermaine Dupri will hit the stage.

Along with the tour, Nelly has much to celebrate. In August, he and Ashanti welcomed their first child, a boy, and named him Kenkaide after her dad.

 “[That] is my dad’s name,” Ashanti told Entertainment Tonight on Aug. 21. “And obviously my dad has only girls, you know, so Nelly was just like, ‘I think that would be really, really dope. And this was all his idea.”

According to reports, the couple may be expecting baby number two. Nelly says, “Having kids is always a blessing,” Nelly told E! News in a statement, “And seeing how dope Ashanti is as a mother is awesome.”

During a 2019 interview with PEOPLE, Ja Rule opened up about what parenthood looks like for him. “I want my kids to run to me, not from me…And I tell them all the time, it’s three people in the world you cannot lie to… your doctor, your lawyer, and me, good old dad.”

He added, “Because I’m the one that’s going to get you out of it, whatever it may be. I have your best interests at heart.” The rapper also shared the emotional moment with his fans in an Instagram post.

On a more sour note, following Irv Gotti’s unexpected passing, Ja Rule offered a touching tribute at his funeral held a few weeks back.

“I just wanna say Irv I love you,” Ja said at the podium. “Everyone in this room loves you. You touched everybody in your own way in this room. I know everyone has their moments… so we’re all here in celebration of your life because it will live on forever. I love you, my brother. I’ll see you when I get there.”

According to TMZ, alumni of Gotti’s Muder Inc., such as  Vita, Ashanti, Lloyd, and Charli Baltimore. Also, JAY-Z, Fat Joe, Hype Williams, Steve Stoute, and Benny Boom paid their final respects to Gotti.

He took to X, writing, “You believe this dumb shit???” “Like I said before I got 10k for ANYONE who can produce this footage a photo shit what city/venue did this said show take place??? @50cent is a fat fucking LIAR.” When a fan expressed excitement for 50’s reply, Ja said, “Me too… [crying face emoji].”
