Ja Rule posted documents on X, claiming they proved 50 Cent had filed for an order of protection against him. “Go ahead and lie,” Ja said, sharing a screenshot of the alleged paperwork. “Tell these good people the paperwork fake so I can send this next shot… WE GOT RECEIPTS boo boo…” The documents were tied to the 2000 stabbing at The Hit Factory recording studio, an incident that has been talked about for years. Ja Rule believes he finally has the proof to expose 50 Cent.

However, Cohen, a lawyer who’s represented artists like Kodak Black, wasted no time refuting Ja Rule’s accusations. Taking to Instagram, Cohen explained why the documents didn’t hold up. “The gun came from a stop and search of his vehicle. There was no ‘snitch’ involved in his case,” Cohen clarified, addressing Ja Rule’s claims that 50 Cent was a federal informant during the Murder Inc. investigation over 20 years ago. Cohen also pointed out flaws in the documents Ja Rule presented, explaining that police reports don’t name informants. “This document lists an informant. 1. Police reports don’t name informants by name 2. We know it’s not Curtis because they are listing people hurt, including a. Informant b. Curtis c. Marvin (whoever that is),” Cohen said. He concluded, “His theory is debunked by the very paperwork. Dumb people would ignore the commas between the names. Don’t be a dummy.”

Ja Rule’s frustration with 50 Cent escalated after the latter’s remarks about Gotti, his close friend and label boss. “I was hot, I was ready to go nuclear and sh*t,” Ja Rule admitted. “Prem [DJ Premier] said it best […] He said, ‘Rule, you got to understand who we are and what we are. We are masters of self-defense.'”

50 Cent Recalls Buying Front Rows Of Ja Rule Concert https://www.hot97.com/news/50-cent-recalls-buying-front-rows-of-ja-rule-concert/ https://www.hot97.com/news/50-cent-recalls-buying-front-rows-of-ja-rule-concert/#respond Wed, 11 Dec 2024 11:00:00 +0000 50 Cent has never been shy about indulging in petty antics, especially when it comes to his long-standing feud with Ja Rule.

The rap icon and entrepreneur recently revisited one of his most infamous stunts during an interview on Los Angeles’ Big Boy’s Neighborhood. While discussing the Drake and Kendrick Lamar rivalry, the host brought up 50 Cent’s claim of buying out tickets to Ja Rule’s concerts in the past—a jab that still echoes in their decades-long beef.

Around the 30-minute mark of the interview, Big Boy asked directly if 50 Cent had actually purchased Ja Rule tickets to leave seats empty at his shows.

“I did,” he admitted with a sly grin. “The tickets were cheap. They were on StubHub … I bought the first four rows.” With his signature humor, 50 explained the motivation behind the stunt, describing it as “something to do.” He added, “I wanted him to feel like he needed to connect with the crowd, and they were four or five rows back.”

For 50 Cent, whose wealth dwarfs such expenses, the purchase was barely a blip on his financial radar. “It wasn’t that big of a sacrifice,” he said, reflecting on the moment. “I’ve bought things that don’t mean anything to me before, but this was fun. It was like watching the spaces in the crowd stay empty because they were reserved for someone else.”

The story first came to light in 2018 when 50 Cent claimed on Instagram that he had bought 200 tickets to a Ja Rule concert in Arlington, Texas, spending $3,000 on Groupon solely to keep the seats vacant. The jab sent fans into a frenzy, leaving Ja Rule to respond by brushing it off as evidence that he gets under 50’s skin.

The feud didn’t end there. In April of the same year, 50 also supported Chris Brown’s rumored purchase of thousands of tickets to a Quavo show in Connecticut, which similarly resulted in swaths of empty seats. “Oh, this sh*t is getting different,” 50 wrote in an Instagram post about the incident. “I know [he’s] tight. LOL.”

For 50 Cent, these antics are all part of a larger narrative—his unmatched ability to weaponize humor and keep his feuds in the spotlight. Decades after their conflict began, his rivalry with Ja Rule remains one of hip-hop’s most talked-about beefs, fueled by moments like this that blur the line between comedy and competition.

Unreleased Eminem Track Dissing Ja Rule & Suge Knight Surfaces https://www.hot97.com/news/unreleased-eminem-track-dissing-ja-rule-suge-knight-surfaces/ https://www.hot97.com/news/unreleased-eminem-track-dissing-ja-rule-suge-knight-surfaces/#respond Wed, 15 Jan 2025 10:00:00 +0000 Many unreleased Eminem music has surfaced online, including a Ja Rule and Suge Knight diss track called “Smack You.”

The five minute track is packed with fiery bars and sharp jabs, reportedly written in 2004 at the height of tensions between Eminem and the two figures. One pointed lyric addresses Ja Rule with biting sarcasm:

“I’m holding her responsible. The Cookie Monster would rap. Won’t give Hailie back an Oscar they lost it up Ja Rule’s ass / We forgot an Oscar’s a statue of a naked man, He told her if she goes to take it back, they’ll break her hand / But that’s okay, baby. Let’s leave this [expletive] alone. Let him have it / Next year daddy will bring you home two more.”

The animosity between Eminem and Ja Rule stems largely from Eminem’s close alliance with 50 Cent, who has openly feuded with Ja Rule for decades. Meanwhile, Eminem’s conflict with Suge Knight can be traced back to Dr. Dre’s acrimonious split with Death Row Records, which inevitably pulled Eminem into the fray.

Fans are abuzz with speculation about the source of the leak and whether even more unreleased material might surface. The controversy has drawn reactions from Eminem’s camp, including FredWreck, a producer and longtime collaborator with both Eminem and Dr. Dre.

Taking to social media, FredWreck shared that the person(s) behind the leaks will receive street law. The statement would be considered a “threat” by the producer.

FredWreck tweeted: “FYI to the criminal who’s leaking the Eminem music. We will find you. Street law will be applied. Ask “Koolo” what happened to him last time he leaked. We know where he lives, and Yes, this is a threat.”

The leak has reignited discussions about the challenges artists face in safeguarding their creative work, while also offering fans a glimpse into Eminem’s vault of unreleased tracks. As the situation unfolds, many are bracing for what might emerge next from the vaults of one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures.

Eminem has not addressed the leaks at this time.

Ja Rule’s New Year’s Resolution Is To Be Petty https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rules-new-years-resolution-is-to-be-petty/ https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rules-new-years-resolution-is-to-be-petty/#respond Thu, 02 Jan 2025 10:00:00 +0000 Ja Rule has started 2025 with a bold declaration, sharing a cheeky New Year’s resolution that has fans buzzing.

The rapper took to social media to announce, “My New Year resolution is to be PETTY…”

The statement quickly sparked reactions, including one commenter suggesting he should “grow up.” Ja, never one to back down, fired back with humor, saying, “I’m technically 12. I can be as petty as I want,” referencing his February 29 Leap Day birthday.

The exchange took another turn when a follower brought up long-standing claims by 50 Cent, who once boasted about buying out concert tickets to sabotage Ja’s show. Ja dismissed the rumor, retorting, “You believe this dumb nonsense? Like I said before, I’ve got 10k for ANYONE who can produce footage, photos, or even tell me what city or venue this supposedly happened in. @50cent is a fat f***ing LIAR.”

50 Cent reignited the controversy during a recent interview with Big Boy, reaffirming the story.

“I did [buy Ja Rule’s tickets]. They were cheap. The tickets were very affordable—on StubHub. I bought the first four rows,” he said, laughing. He added, “I just wanted him to feel like he had to reach the people sitting four or five rows back. It wasn’t a big deal. I’ve spent more on less meaningful things. Watching those empty seats reserved for someone else? That was fun.”

This isn’t the first time Ja has refuted the tale. In 2019, after 50 Cent claimed to have purchased 200 tickets to leave seats vacant, Ja labeled the story a fabrication.

“This [clown face emoji] 50 Cent is a pathological LIAR,” he wrote on social media. “I’ll cash app 10 bands to ANYBODY with pics or footage of this supposed show. Y’all believe anything goofy they tell you.”

Speaking to HipHopDX about the rumors, Ja further mocked the notion. “Everything is on video nowadays. Come on, man. Stop with the foolery!”

He added, “Even if it were true, all you did was put money in my pocket. What do you think the promoter would do? Leave it empty? Nah, they’d let people in for free or sell those seats again!”

Ja Rule’s playful energy and refusal to let the feud die down show that, even after decades in the spotlight, he’s not shying away from stirring the pot. Fans can only wonder what level of pettiness he’ll bring next.

50 Cent and Ja Rule Fire Back Over Irv Gotti Feud and ‘Nuclear’ Threats https://www.hot97.com/news/50-cent-and-ja-rule-fire-back-over-irv-gotti-feud-and-nuclear-threats/ https://www.hot97.com/news/50-cent-and-ja-rule-fire-back-over-irv-gotti-feud-and-nuclear-threats/#respond Mon, 14 Apr 2025 15:46:56 +0000 The long-standing rivalry between 50 Cent and Ja Rule has reached new heights following Ja’s declaration of a potential “nuclear” response to perceived disrespect toward the late Irv Gotti. This tension was reignited during Ja’s recent appearance in a recent interview, where he expressed his outrage over 50’s jabs regarding Gotti, a close friend and former head of Murder Inc. Ja expressed his initial inclination to retaliate, but Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff dissuaded him.

Shortly after Ja’s comments, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share a clip from the interview, slamming both Ja and the show’s hosts. He criticized their role in perpetuating violence and mocked Ja’s threats, quipping, “This fool has been ready to go what he calls nuclear for 22 years. LOL.” In a further jab, he taunted the memory of Gotti by referencing a personal anecdote, stating, “Ya man in my Runtz right now!” Although he later removed this inflammatory post, it fueled Ja’s fiery response.

Ja Rule Fires Back at 50 Cent with Snitching Allegations

Ja Rule retaliated with an extensive social media tirade, accusing 50 of being a “snitch” and disparaging his entire career. “You’re a used car salesman,” he tweeted, dismissing 50’s artistic endeavors as lackluster and calling his business ventures “trash.” His remarks escalated as he referred to 50 by derogatory names and ridiculed his street credibility.

In a notable exchange, Ja contested a fan’s claim that 50 had effectively dismantled Murder Inc., insisting that 50 had informed federal authorities about a shooting incident involving him, leading to a federal indictment. To bolster his allegations, Ja shared purported legal documents, which he claimed implicated 50, further intensifying the public spat. As the feud continues to unfold, 50 Cent has yet to publicly address Ja’s latest barrage of insults. However, he has previously denied any involvement in informing on his rivals, asserting that the allegations stem from misunderstandings or attempts to tarnish his reputation.

Ja Rule Goes On Daddy Duty, Walks Daughter Down The Aisle https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rule-goes-on-daddy-duty-walks-daughter-down-the-aisle/ https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rule-goes-on-daddy-duty-walks-daughter-down-the-aisle/#respond Sun, 25 May 2025 18:21:23 +0000 On Saturday (May 24), TMZ reported that Ja Rule traded his gritty bars for tears while walking his daughter, Brittney Atkins down the aisle. Atkins is the eldest child of Ja’s three children, whom he shares with his wife Asia. In the touching photos and videos shared by TMZ, dozens of family and friends gathered at the lavish affair to celebrate Brittney’s happy union.

During a 2019 interview with PEOPLE, Ja Rule opened up about what parenthood looks like for him. “I want my kids to run to me, not from me…And I tell them all the time, it’s three people in the world you cannot lie to… your doctor, your lawyer, and me, good old dad.”

He added, “Because I’m the one that’s going to get you out of it, whatever it may be. I have your best interests at heart.” The rapper also shared the emotional moment with his fans in an Instagram post.

On a more sour note, following Irv Gotti’s unexpected passing, Ja Rule offered a touching tribute at his funeral held a few weeks back.

“I just wanna say Irv I love you,” Ja said at the podium. “Everyone in this room loves you. You touched everybody in your own way in this room. Ja Rule Responds to 50 Cent’s Statements on Ticket Scandal https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rule-responds-to-50-cents-statements-on-ticket-scandal/ https://www.hot97.com/news/ja-rule-responds-to-50-cents-statements-on-ticket-scandal/#respond Mon, 30 Dec 2024 16:12:04 +0000 Ja Rule has fired back at 50 Cent, accusing his longtime rival of rehashing claims about buying concert tickets to leave seats deliberately empty.

Reports indicate that during a recent interview, 50 Cent reiterated his assertion, stating, “I did [buy Ja Rule’s tickets]. They were cheap tickets. The tickets were very affordable. They were on StubHub. I bought the first four rows.” “I looked at it and said, ‘I just want you to feel like you gotta reach the people, four or five rows back’ [laughs].” He continued, “It wasn’t that big of a sacrifice. I’ve bought things that mean less to me. That was fun, watching the show and seeing the spaces are empty because they were reserved for someone else.”

Nonetheless, on Sunday, December 29, Ja sharply responded to his remarks, labeling 50 a “fat fucking liar.”

He took to X, writing, “You believe this dumb shit???” “Like I said before I got 10k for ANYONE who can produce this footage a photo shit what city/venue did this said show take place??? @50cent is a fat fucking LIAR.” When a fan expressed excitement for 50’s reply, Ja said, “Me too… [crying face emoji].”

Ja Rule has repeatedly shot down 50 Cent’s claim that he bought tickets to his concert prior to this ongoing feud.

In 2019, after 50 Cent claimed to have purchased 200 tickets for one of his concerts, Ja took to social media, saying, “This [clown emoji] 50 Cent is the pathological LIAR. I’ll cash app 10 bands to ANYBODY who has pics or footage of said show bozo bought 200 tix to so it could be empty … I’ll wait… y’all believe anything goofy [they] tell y’all.”
