The Grammy Award winner has announced the release date of her debut album Why Not More. Set to drop on April 25, the album features her newly released lead single “Taste.”

Produced by Stargate and Jasper Harris, “Taste” is described “as being about infatuation and attraction, and setting the tone for the remainder of the year.” Another bop for sure, the hot track samples Brittany Spears’ 2003 classic track “Toxic” but Coco makes it all her own.

During an appearance on the Red Carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards, she detailed her highly anticipated project.

“I’m so excited. My bucket list is coming to fruition,” Jones said “It’s been a really long process because I’m really strict with myself.”

“I think my fans are in store for, of course, what they love from me. Those ballads, those vocally challenging moments,” she continued. “But I’m really trying to push the narrative of R&B. I love to perform. I love high energy. I love choreo. I want a world where they can both coexist. And I feel like R&B, to me, can be so flexible, and that’s what I’m trying to showcase and teach my audience.”

Jones also announced she’ll be going on tour in support of the project with special guest Lady London. Taking to Instagram, she shared her excitement about hitting the road.

“I’m going on tour y’all 🫶🏾 so excited to announce the Why Not More? Tour! Coming to a city near youuuu,” she wrote. “Pre-sale begins tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 26 at 10 am local time. Click the link in my bio to sign up for the pre-sale titled “Tour Pre-Sale”. General on-sale begins on Friday, Feb 28, 10 am local time.”

Along with the album and tour, she is starring Hilary Banks in Bel-Air, Peacock’s reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In December 2024, the series was renewed for a fourth and final season.

SZA Blasts Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Tacky’ BBL Question To Coco Jones https://www.hot97.com/news/sza-blasts-shannon-sharpes-tacky-bbl-question-to-coco-jones/ https://www.hot97.com/news/sza-blasts-shannon-sharpes-tacky-bbl-question-to-coco-jones/#respond Tue, 11 Mar 2025 20:12:34 +0000 SZA is not feeling Shannon Sharpe questioning others about her body.

While interviewing Coco Jones on his Club Shay Shay podcast, Sharpe asked the R&B songstress if she would ever consider getting a BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift). Although Jones did not mention her by name, SZA made sure to set the record straight with the former NFL star by commenting on the post.

“Lmaooo now why would this be a question for coco. Poor baby she handled it well 😂❤ now Shay Shay,” SZA wrote.

“Incredibly tacky.. I wanted to come here too 😂 dah well,” SZA added in a second comment.

After her procedure, SZA has gone public with her regrets about the surgery. In an interview with British Vogue, SZA expressed her feelings behind getting a BBL.

“I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat,” she said. “It was just so stupid. But who gives a f**k? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the shit.”

While she may have had some regrets, she also shared that she loves her body and said she can do with it whatever she wants.

“I need to get my f**king mental health together,” she continued. “Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be. But I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty looks nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes it’s natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.”

Outside of BBL discussions, SZA is gearing up to join Kendrick Lamar on his Grand National Tour. Beginning in April, the tour will hit stadiums across the country until August.

Will Smith & Coco Jones Perform “Summertime” At Bel-Air BBQ https://www.hot97.com/news/will-smith-coco-jones-perform-summertime-at-bel-air-bbq/ Fri, 02 Aug 2024 12:49:57 +0000 As he gets back into music, Will Smith performs his summertime classic supporting the upcoming third season of the hit show Bel-Air. Fans go nuts as Smith joins actress and recording artist Coco Jones on stage at the Bel-Air BBQ to perform “Summertime.”

The 1991 classic was honored as “the best summer song of all time” by Rolling Stone. It won a Grammy 1992 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The summer anthem appears on DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s fourth album, Homebase, released in July 1991 on Jive Records.

At the BBQ, Smith joined others in the Bel-Air cast to perform trendy antics. Bel-Air, a revamp to the 90s classic sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, stars Jabari Banks as Will Smith, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, and Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks. Fresh Prince cast members to appear in this season’s Bel-Air include Joesph Marcell, who played Geoffrey, and Tatyana Ali, who played the original Ashley Banks.

This month, Will returned to music with two new songs, including a collaboration with Russ and Jaden Smith called “Work Of Art.” He delivered a stunning performance of the new song, “You Can Make It,” featuring Fridayy and Sunday Service Choir at the BET Awards. The new tracks are part of Smith’s upcoming album, his first in a new independent deal with SLANG.

Smith has been on a redemption road since he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars over remarks about his wife Jada Pickett-Smith. The Oscars banned Smith from attending for 10 years.

Will and his wife’s relationship has been in the headlines for years. Jada told Drew Barrymore in November 2023 that she and Will Smith are staying together forever.

Bel-Air season 3 begins on Peacock on August 15.
