21 Savage brings the phrase “long hair, don’t care,” to life in a new social media post. On Tuesday (Apr.3), the rapper shared a selfie sporting long locks as he donned an all-black fit. The “Slaughter Gang” rapper says he’s in his “throwback Snoop” era as he cracks a smile.

“Thinking about going throwback snoop on you female dogs,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Aside from his legendary music career, Snoop Dogg’s aesthetic and style have had a significant impact on hip-hop culture. 21 Savage’s latest post is only further evidence of the West Coast legend’s effect on the culture.

21 Savage Reveals Backstory Of Face Scar

In May 2024, 21 Savage disclosed the origin of his distinctive facial scar, recounting a harrowing incident from his youth. During an Instagram Live session, he recounted being hit in the face during a fight, causing his lip to get caught on his gold teeth and leaving a lasting scar. Despite the severity of the incident, he emphasized that it could have been much worse, considering the size difference between himself and his opponent at the time.

In the same Instagram Live, he addressed the ongoing controversy involving Soulja Boy. The conflict escalated after the rapper defended his collaborator Metro Boomin against online attacks, prompting Soulja Boy to launch a tirade against him. Soulja Boy hurled insults and threats, challenging 21 Savage to a physical altercation and questioning his credibility.

Responding to Soulja Boy’s accusations, he defended his roots in Atlanta and questioned Soulja Boy’s connections to the city. He also criticized Soulja Boy’s legal troubles and financial status, highlighting articles suggesting financial difficulties and ridiculing Soulja Boy’s outdated career references.

Moreover, 21 Savage condemned Soulja Boy’s insensitive remarks about his deceased mother, warning him of consequences if they were to meet in person. The exchange between the two artists underscores the volatile nature of online conflicts within the hip-hop community.
