Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Terrel Bowman, has been sentenced to five years in prison following his involvement in drug-related criminal activity. The 25-year-old rapper appeared in court on Wednesday, December 11th, and received his sentence after pleading guilty to drug conspiracy and participation in criminal street gang activity earlier this year.

The case stems from Rondo’s alleged role in a drug trafficking operation. After securing a $100K bond and being placed under house arrest in late 2023, he accepted a plea deal, significantly reducing his sentence from a potential 20 years to five. Under the terms of the agreement, he will serve at least 33 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

In addition to prison time, Quando Rondo must pay a $40K fine, undergo regular drug testing, avoid contact with gang members, and participate in mental health treatment. While his defense team sought a 24-month sentence and the prosecution pushed for 37 months, the judge ultimately decided on 33 months. The rapper has until January 10, 2025, to report to prison.

During the sentencing, Quando Rondo expressed remorse for his actions, saying, “I did the wrong thing, and I’m getting punished for it.” He also reflected on the opportunity to grow and make positive changes while serving his time.

Rondo took the opportunity to publicly apologize, addressing the impact his actions have had on his family, friends, and especially his daughters. “I wanna give an apology to the city of Savannah… and to all my loved ones,” he said, expressing regret and promising to work toward a better future.
