Candace Owens is once again voicing her support for Kanye West and why she defends him, this time by reviving concerns about his former trainer, Harley Pasternak. In a recent sit-down on The Jason Lee Show, Owens suggested there’s more to Kanye’s 2016 hospitalization than the public knows, and she believes it hasn’t been properly investigated.
“I will always love Ye,” she stated. “I will always defend him because I think he did one of the bravest things in speaking about what happened to him and the questions were never answered about what Harley Pasternak did to him that night.”
Owens also drew a parallel between Kanye’s experience and Britney Spears’ struggles, suggesting a disturbing pattern involving high-profile figures and alleged control. “Kanye was Kanye then Harley Pasternak took him to his house and got an ambulance and had him drugged and admitted that in a text message,” she alleged. “I have questions about what happened to Kanye.”
Pasternak, a Canadian fitness trainer and author, made headlines in 2016 when he reportedly called emergency services on Kanye during a workout. Years later, Ye shared what he claimed were text messages from Pasternak, where the trainer allegedly warned him about being institutionalized again.
“Second option. I have you institutionalized again where they medicate the crap out of you, and you go back to Zombieland forever,” the message read. “Play dates with the kids just won’t be the same.”
Though unconfirmed, 2023 rumors claimed Kanye felt he was being followed by Pasternak while in Dubai, adding more mystery to their complicated history.
While Ye’s reputation has taken a hit over the years, especially due to his inflammatory social media presence, Owens continues to publicly back him—raising questions about power, influence, and who’s really in control behind the scenes.
