Angel Reese isn’t backing down. The Chicago Sky star sparked debate after interviewing rapper Chrisean Rock on her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, but she made it clear she has no regrets.

Rock, a controversial figure with a history of legal troubles, has faced intense scrutiny for allegedly smoking while pregnant. Reese’s decision to interview her led to an outpouring of criticism online, but the WNBA player quickly shut it down.

“this my podcast. stfu or don’t watch. thank ya,” Reese posted on X, letting critics know she wasn’t here for their opinions.

Social media responses were largely negative for the interview, with many questioning Angel Reese’s decision to give Chrisean Rock a platform on her podcast. Some users criticized Rock’s past actions, including allegations of smoking and drinking while pregnant, while others targeted Reese, suggesting that her choice of interview guests reflected poorly on her.

Angel Reese, the Chicago Sky star, has faced criticism in the past over her podcast guest selections. In March 2025, she sparked controversy by teasing an interview with rapper DaBaby, who had previously made inflammatory remarks about women and the LGBTQ+ community during a 2021 performance. The announcement quickly drew backlash, with fans questioning her decision to give a platform to such a divisive figure. In response to the criticism, Reese and her team swiftly removed the promotional post and decided not to air the interview.

Despite the noise, Reese remains focused on her career. After an impressive rookie season that was cut short by injury, she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game, earning an All-Star nod and finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Caitlin Clark.

With the Chicago Sky looking to bounce back this season, Reese is ready to make an impact both on and off the court. The team has undergone major changes, hiring Tyler Marsh as head coach and bringing in key players like Courtney Vandersloot and Kia Nurse.

Whether people love or hate her podcast, Reese isn’t changing for anyone.
