Busta Rhymes may have a long history of working with music icons like Missy Elliott and Lil Wayne, but he’s now thinking about teaming up with Cardi B. The two New York rappers were seen courtside at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, May 12th, watching the Knicks take on the Celtics in a crucial playoff matchup. The Knicks secured a win, putting them just one game away from the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

On Wednesday morning, May 14th, Busta posted a photo of him and Cardi outside the arena on Instagram. Along with the picture, he floated the idea of collaborating on a song. “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP!! NEVERRRRRRR EVER EVER EVER,” he captioned the post. “SALUTE TO THE ONE OF THE BIGGEST QUEENS OF THE CULTURE @iamcardib WHAT IF ME & CARDI COOKED UP??!! I GOT YOU QUEEN, LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU READY QUEEN!!”

Support for the idea came quickly in the comments. Fans and artists alike expressed excitement, with one person writing, “Yesss, we’re here for this collaboration,” and another chiming in with, “YEEEESSSSSSSS ITS GOTTA HAPPEN!” Even Chuck D showed love in the comments.

Cardi’s appearance at the game didn’t just spark music talk. She was seen sitting courtside next to NFL player Stefon Diggs, prompting speculation about a new relationship. On the music side, Busta recently released his seven-track project Dragon Season…. Equinox. Cardi, meanwhile, has been vocal about the delays surrounding her second album.

Earlier this month on Instagram Live, she admitted the wait is tied to feature delays. “I really need these f–king features,” she said. “I need that right now! Helloooo! Y’all don’t want to miss this opportunity.”
