Cardi B credits her “gorgeous” new partner for her recent silence toward online critics, a notable shift from her usual fiery responses.
The rapper, famous for never letting insults go unanswered, has been unusually restrained in recent months. During a candid conversation on X Spaces, Cardi revealed that her happiness is rooted in something — or rather, someone — far more satisfying than internet drama.
“You know when you have a gorgeous man loving and touching you from head to toe?” Cardi said, according to Baller Report. “It’s like, I don’t care what anybody says when you’ve got a fine man that loves you completely.” She ended her brief confession by once again describing her new flame as “gorgeous,” radiating unmistakable bliss.
Speculation has been swirling that Cardi is dating NFL star Stefon Diggs. The two were spotted together at Coachella and on previous occasions, fueling rumors of a budding romance. Meanwhile, her ex, Offset, appears to be taking the news in stride. After a fan joked that he must be “punching the air” over Cardi’s newfound joy, Offset simply replied, “I’m happy for her.”
However, the history between Cardi and Offset remains complicated. In March, Cardi publicly accused Offset of sending threatening messages after their breakup.
She alleged he had begged her to reconcile, even making disturbing threats against himself and her. Cardi also claimed that Offset attempted to sabotage her dating life, sending intimate videos of them to someone she was seeing.
Fans are eagerly anticipating how much of this drama will find its way onto Cardi’s long-awaited second album. During a recent interview at the Revolve Festival, she hinted that her next project would be anything but tame.
“I feel like my album is messy,” she teased. “She’s a messy queen.”
