Wale Debunks Longtime Rumor Diddy Hung Him Out Balcony

Diddy has been linked to a growing list of explosive allegations, but Wale is making it clear he wants no part in the narrative.

The D.C. rapper appeared on Atlanta’s The Morning Hustle this week, only to be hit with a question about a bizarre rumor that refuses to die. According to the story—first floated by local rapper Ant Glizzy—Diddy allegedly held Wale upside down over a hotel balcony for getting too close to Cassie during a studio session. Shy Glizzy, another D.C. artist, was allegedly present. Wale didn’t hide his irritation.

He dismissed the claim as “preposterous,” visibly frustrated that he had to address it once again. He’s denied the tale before, and his team previously told media outlets in 2023 that the rumor felt plagiarized—more Hollywood script than hip-hop memory.

They pointed out its suspicious resemblance to a dramatic scene from The Five Heartbeats, where a ruthless music executive threatens a singer by dangling him off a balcony. That fictional boss? Big Red. Not Diddy.

Still, the story lingers online, fanned by the growing spotlight on Diddy’s history with Cassie Ventura and the legal fallout surrounding him. As federal investigators build a broader case against the Bad Boy mogul, stories of intimidation, retaliation, and abuse continue to surface. While no credible evidence has linked Wale to the case, the internet has folded his name into the chaos.

Meanwhile, the allegations involving Kid Cudi have raised more serious concerns. Federal documents reference an incident where Diddy’s associates allegedly blew up Cudi’s car, supposedly after Cudi showed romantic interest in Cassie. That detail has been cited as part of a larger pattern of violence meant to control or punish those who crossed Diddy—especially in matters involving his former partner.

Though Wale has no connection to the incident, his name continues to be floated alongside more serious accusations. In today’s culture of online speculation, even denial becomes part of the discourse. Yet Wale insists he’s done repeating himself. He’s made it clear he won’t allow fiction to replace fact, or let gossip cloud his legacy.

As the federal probe into Diddy deepens, more names may surface, some accurately, others not. But for Wale, the message couldn’t be more direct—leave him out of it.
