Trey Songz found himself in a tense situation during a recent live performance in Greensboro, North Carolina. The R&B singer was on stage when a male fan, likely in his teens or 20s, unexpectedly hopped up and got close enough to put his arm around Trey. Although the fan didn’t appear to pose any harm and seemed more interested in dancing and hyping up the crowd, Trey’s instincts kicked in.

The 40-year-old artist was forced to stop singing, ready to “squabble up” if needed. The viral video footage captured Trey briefly stepping back and adopting a fighting stance as the fan remained by his side. Fans watching the scene unfold were shocked, but thankfully, before things escalated, a security guard quickly intervened and dragged the fan offstage.

At this point, Trey has not commented on the incident, but online reactions are pouring in. Some fans are poking fun at his fighting stance, creating memes that highlight how awkward they thought he looked preparing to confront the fan.

This incident marks the first unexpected hurdle for the Millennium Tour this year, a major event that has been running for six years with artists like Omarion and Bow Wow. Trey Songz joined this year’s tour as a headliner, along with other notable performers like Rick Ross, Plies, and Boosie Badazz. The tour, which began on March 7th, will run through April 27th. Despite this brief onstage interruption, the show must go on!
