Tiffany Red, a singer-songwriter and close friend of Cassie Ventura speaks out against Diddy‘s recent apology video. The Bad Boy CEO’s statement comes after CNN obtained footage of Diddy involved in an altercation with Ventura. However, in Red’s opinion, the apology is null and void because if he was so “disgusted” as he portrayed himself, why did the alleged abuse continue? “Cut it out Puff. Cut it out,” she begins. “So you were ‘disgusted back then and you’re disgusted now’, let me ask you a question then, is that the last time you did that to her?” she said in a recent Instagram video.
Red continues: “Was that the last time you did that with any woman?” Later in the clip, Tiffany Red speculates on the allegations the hitmaker has gotten over the past several months. She also pointed out Diddy’s earlier social media posts, where he vehemently denied the allegations against him. “Take your punishment like a fu*kin man!” Red caption the post.
Earlier today (May 19), Diddy hopped on Instagram to apologize for the video. He claims to be “disgusted” with himself. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that,” he began. The superstar and hitmaker claims he was not himself: “I mean I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses.”
Diddy Calls His Behavior, ‘Disgusting’
He continued: “My behavior on the video was inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” Diddy adds, “I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now.” He alleges that he’s “sought professional help” and began therapy. The disgraced mogul ends the video by saying he’s “committed to being a better man each and every day.
The statement comes after CNN released footage of the alleged altercation in March 2016. The surveillance video sees a shaken Cassie swiftly moving down the hallway to the elevator. However, it’s not long before Diddy — with a towel around his waist — runs down the hallway after Ventura and begins physically assaulting her. Last year, Cassie sued the producer and accused him of rape, physical abuse, and human trafficking. Nearly one day later, the pair settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. The former couple were together for 11 years, from 2007 until 2019.
