Lil Baby’s latest business move with his “WHAM” weed strain is making waves—and raising eyebrows. According to claims from his Holding Company brand, the strain brought in a staggering $30 million in just 15 days, with 327,000 orders reportedly processed. However, fans aren’t fully buying it. DJ Akademiks shared the company’s revenue claims online, sparking a heated debate in the comment section.
Critics pointed out potential red flags, including skepticism about the Shopify graphic’s font, doubts about the sheer amount of product required to hit those numbers, and general disbelief about the scale of success. While these theories are speculative, the buzz around the numbers has cast some doubt on the rapper’s marketing claims.
Despite the chatter, it’s doubtful Lil Baby is losing sleep over the backlash. Even if the $30 million figure is inflated, his ventures—both in music and cannabis—are likely still lucrative. Additionally, his latest album, WHAM, continues to thrive. It recently marked his fourth career-topping entry on the charts, and the deluxe version only added to its success.
Outside of his own projects, Lil Baby is turning his attention to collaborations and upcoming albums from his peers. Speaking to Complex, he praised Playboi Carti and his long-awaited project, I AM MUSIC. “Carti is my man,” Baby shared. “I’ve known Carti for a long time… but I don’t be pressed if they don’t be pressed [to make music].”
Reflecting on Atlanta’s influence in hip-hop, Baby added, “I feel like I’m already on I AM MUSIC, just being from Atlanta… We all feed off each other in certain ways.” Whether discussing Carti’s rollout or defending his own numbers, Lil Baby’s dominance in music and business remains undeniable.
