Nash described a dynamic marked by control, claiming Ventura would often cry over Diddy’s attempts to dictate her career, social life, and appearance. According to Nash, the pattern of behavior extended beyond private settings. At one point, he recounted Diddy berating him over Ventura’s look at an Oscars event, portraying a man intent on managing every facet of her public image. The pressure, Nash said, weighed heavily on Ventura’s emotional state.

Kid Cudi Break-In, Jealousy Claims Surface in Diddy Trial

Prosecutors also introduced testimony surrounding a separate incident involving Kid Cudi. LAPD officer Chris Ignacio told the court he saw a vehicle registered to Diddy’s company leaving the scene of an alleged break-in at Cudi’s home. The incident, prosecutors allege, was driven by jealousy related to Ventura.

The courtroom also heard details about a separate episode where Ventura Fine allegedly suffered a gash requiring stitches after an argument turned physical in a hotel room. Nash said he and another team member attempted to intervene but were overpowered. “He was in a rage,” Nash recalled, describing how Diddy allegedly yanked Ventura Fine off a couch in the middle of the confrontation.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His defense team pushed back during proceedings, calling for a mistrial over what they claimed were prejudicial statements by prosecutors regarding possible destruction of evidence. The judge denied the motion. Meanwhile, cross-examinations of law enforcement witnesses revealed forced entry at Cudi’s residence but no stolen property.

Cassie was a key witness, following her explosive November 2023 lawsuit that alleged rape, abuse, and coercion during her relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018. Over four emotional days in court, she described being forced into “freak-offs,” undergoing trauma therapy after their breakup, and reclaiming her power through healing. Her husband, Alex Fine, stood by her side throughout the process.

After her testimony, both Cassie and Fine issued heartfelt statements via her attorney, Doug Wigdor. Cassie shared:
“This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me. I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors, and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear. For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget.”

“I am glad to put this chapter of my life to rest as I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy. I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family.”

Fine also honored his wife’s strength, stating:
“Cassie saved Cassie. […] All I have done is love her as she has loved me.”

The couple, who are already parents to daughters Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4, are expecting a baby boy.

Cudi’s testimony revisited events from more than a decade ago, during a period when he was briefly involved with singer Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s longtime partner at the time. He described an encounter in 2011 when Combs allegedly entered his home uninvited and locked his dog in a bathroom. He also recounted a more serious incident in 2012, when his car was set on fire outside his residence. “I knew he had something to do with it,” Cudi told the jury. While the arson was never officially tied to Diddy, the incident remains part of a broader narrative being presented by the prosecution.

Witnesses Detail Diddy’s Habits as Prosecutors Cite Pattern

Hotel executive Frederic Zemmour, general manager of the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, also took the stand. He described Diddy as a regular guest and testified about internal notes hotel staff kept regarding his behavior. Zemmour said Puff’s customer profile had several notes to staff, including one that warned he “always spills candle wax on everything and uses excessive amounts of oil.” Prosecutors referenced the details as part of their effort to demonstrate patterns of conduct, though the notes themselves were not linked to any criminal acts.

The court also heard from Mylah Morales, a former makeup artist for both Diddy and Cassie. Morales testified that she once witnessed Cassie emerge from a room with visible injuries following an argument. She said she did not report the incident at the time, citing fear for her personal safety. The event was not investigated by law enforcement, and no charges have been brought in relation to the claim.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His legal team has firmly denied all allegations and continues to assert that the case is based on unreliable testimony and mischaracterized events. The trial is scheduled to continue Tuesday, with more witness statements expected in the days ahead.

On May 22, 2025, Cudi took the stand in Manhattan, recounting a series of alarming incidents from 2011 and 2012 that he attributes to Combs’ alleged retaliation over Cudi’s brief relationship with singer Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former partner.

Cudi testified that in December 2011, while he was dating Ventura, Combs allegedly broke into his Los Angeles home. During this intrusion, Cudi’s dog was locked in a bathroom, and Christmas gifts intended for his family were unwrapped. Cudi stated that he confronted Combs over the phone during the incident, with Combs reportedly responding, “I am here waiting for you.” Upon arriving home, Cudi found the police present, but Combs had already left. Security cameras had been tampered with, and his dog appeared visibly distressed.

A few weeks later, in early 2012, Cudi’s Porsche 911 convertible was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail while parked in his driveway. Jurors were shown photos of the damaged vehicle, which had a hole cut in its fabric roof and burn marks inside. Cudi testified that he suspected Combs orchestrated the attack out of jealousy, although Combs denied involvement during a subsequent meeting.

During his testimony, Cudi described a confrontation with Combs at the Soho House in Los Angeles, where he accused Combs of lying about the incidents. He depicted Combs as standing “with his hands behind his back like a Marvel supervillain.”

After his testimony, Cudi addressed the situation publicly, thanking his fans for the support and acknowledges that “this was a stressful situation,” acknowledging the emotional toll of revisiting these events.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

But Steel challenged the certainty of that accusation. He highlighted a post-incident meeting between Cudi and Diddy at Cudi’s SoHo home.

Cudi described it as “calm” and admitted both men were “confused” about Cassie’s actions. Steel suggested Cassie had deceived them both, living a “double life” and hiding her romantic ties. Cudi agreed with that idea before stepping down.

That exchange sharply contrasted with Cudi’s earlier account. He testified that Cassie left Diddy due to violence and that he had no idea she ever returned to him. He described being heartbroken when she ended their relationship.

According to Cudi, once Diddy learned about their romance, he became angry. Cassie later admitted she gave Diddy Cudi’s address—leading him to believe Diddy was connected to the break-in and fire at his home.

Steel’s cross-examination aimed to reframe the situation, casting doubt on Cudi’s belief and suggesting his testimony came more from emotion than evidence. The courtroom tension reflected the complicated nature of the relationships involved.

Kid Cudi’s story depicted a love triangle marked by betrayal and power plays. Steel pushed for ambiguity, trying to redirect attention from Diddy to Cassie’s unclear role. As both narratives clashed in court, the testimony blurred the line between personal turmoil and potential criminal behavior.

With high-profile names and emotional claims at its center, the trial remains a mix of celebrity drama and serious legal stakes. Cudi’s time on the stand left the court with more questions than answers—and no easy resolution in sight.

He met Ventura around 2008 and they briefly dated in 2011. During that time, he believed she and Combs had already broken up. After their relationship ended, Cudi said they “just stopped talking,” and when asked if she had played him, he simply responded, “Yes.”

In December 2011, Ventura called him distressed after Combs allegedly found out about their relationship. Cudi picked her up from a hotel and spoke with Combs’ employee Capricorn Clark, who he said sounded “on the verge of tears.” She told him Combs and another person were already inside his home. Upon returning, Cudi found his security cameras moved, family gifts opened, and his dog locked in the bathroom. He called the police and filed a report.

Later, Combs texted Cudi wanting to talk, but Cudi ignored him. “You broke into my house, you messed with my dog, I don’t want to talk to you,” he said.

Then in 2012, Cudi’s Porsche was destroyed in a fire. He testified that law enforcement found a Molotov cocktail inside the car. “What the f**k,” he said when asked how he reacted. He requested a meeting with Combs afterward. “Sean Combs was standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,” Cudi recalled.

Years later, at Soho House, Combs apologized. “Man I just want to apologize for everything and all that bullsh*t,” Cudi testified. He said he found peace after that moment.

As the Bad Boy Records founder is facing a life sentence in prison if found guilty in his sex trafficking trial, Bossie’s conspiracy theory suggests that the couple “masterminded” Diddy’s fall from grace.

“[Cassie’s] HUSBAND HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET HER TO DO THIS FOR YEARS TO DIDDY BUT SHE DIDNT WANT TO DO IT BECAUSE SHE KNEW WHAT WILL COME OUT,” he shared on social media.

Boosie also said that the couple was dealing with financial hardships and which sparked them to file a lawsuit against Diddy. 

 “THEN AS A COUPLE YALL [BECAME] BROKE,” he continued.

He even mentioned Yung Miami saying Cassie was jealous of her because she publicly supported Diddy.

“NOW THE PLOT BECOMES REALER BY THE MONTH !! I THINK THE LAST STRAW WAS THE DIDDY N CARESHA REALTIONSHIP,” his post continued. “WHEN SHE SAW CARESHA WITH THAT SIGN SUPPORTING HER MAN AT THAT AWARDS THAT DID IT. A WOMAN SCORNED IS A DANGEROUS EVIL MF #yeahisaidit.”

After four days of testimony, Cassie and Fine both issued statements about the ordeal that they experienced leading up to and during the trial.

This is the first time that a Louisiana rapper has come out in support of Diddy. Following Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, he shared how much he disagreed with the accusations.

“I feel DIDDY N JAIL FOR BASICALLY DOING WHAT EVERY OTHER FAMOUS ENTERTAINER HAS DONE “FLEW BITCHES OUT FOR 3 SOMES “HE JUST FREAKIER. WE ACTUALLY GO CALL WOMEN  PROSTITUTES WHO FLY N WILLINGLY TO BE WITH THEY PARTNERS FOR SEX? IF THATS THE CASE IF U BEEN FLEWED OUT N HAD SEX YOU SHOULD BE LABELED A PROSTITUTE,” he tweeted at the time.

“IF THATS THE CASE THATS 80% OF THE WOMEN READING THIS .N TRAFFICKING #hellna YOU’RE A CELEBRITY YOU GOTTA FLY PUSSY N ,HOW ELSE U GOT GET THE PUSSY? YOURE NEVER N ONE PLACE WHEN I SAW THAT VIDEO I WAS PISSED OFF AT THIS NIGGA LIKE HE REALLY GOT  A PROBLEM,” his post continued. “BUT FACING “LIFE N PRISON “FOR DOING BASICALLY WHAT SO MANY OTHER ENTERTAINER HAS DONE #idisagree”

The development follows claims made by Diddy’s former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who alleged in a lawsuit that Diddy once “blew up” Kid Cudi’s car in a fit of jealousy.

According to the lawsuit, Combs became enraged upon learning that Cassie was romantically involved with Kid Cudi. “Mr. Combs grew so angry about her dating the rapper Kid Cudi that he said he would blow up the rapper’s car,” the filing states. It further alleges that shortly thereafter, “Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway.”

Kid Cudi, through a spokesperson, has since confirmed the incident, stating, “This is all true.”

As previously reported, Cassie’s former best friend, Keri Morgan, testified in the Diddy trial as well.
