The 44-year-old was released on parole in 2017 after serving 20 years in prison. According to Wallo’s cousin and co-host Gillie Da Kid, Wallo was granted early release from probation instead of the scheduled 2048 release date.

A clip of the duo celebrating the upliftment surfaced over the weekend, with Gillie toasting Wallo at a private dinner. “Special day for two people that I really love and appreciate,” Gillie’s congratulatory speech began. “So the first toast, but we not gonna drink, is to my cousin Wallo. He got off parole today. He was supposed to be on parole til 2048. God is great. He got off parole today. I love you, cuz. Y’all make some noise for Wallo.”

After being released from prison, Wallo built a buzz on social media through his street interviews and motivational speeches. Gillie and Wallo would launch their podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game in 2019. The podcast secured a deal with Barstool Sports for $3 million in 2020 that was extended in 2022.

Wallo’s career would continue to flourish. In February, he was named Chief Marketing Officer of the REFORM Alliance, which Jay-Z and Meek Mill founded. In the past, Wallo has hosted REFORM events, such as its Casino Night, which led to new Pennsylvania legislation. “I am honored to be taking on this role at REFORM and for the opportunity to help uplift system-impacted communities with new resources and programs,” he said in a press release. “My firsthand experience with the parole and probation system, I believe, is key to helping advance REFORM’s mission.”

In other news, Wallo is featured on the new BigXThaPlug album Take Care, which was released on Friday (October 11). Throughout the album, he delivers motivational messages about family, friends, and accountability. Other artists collaborating with Wallo include Larry June, Toosii, and Conway The Machine.

Wallo267 Helps In 2-Hour Rescue Of Man From Jumping Off Freeway Overpass https://www.hot97.com/news/wallo267-helps-in-2-hour-rescue-of-man-from-jumping-off-freeway-overpass/ https://www.hot97.com/news/wallo267-helps-in-2-hour-rescue-of-man-from-jumping-off-freeway-overpass/#respond Mon, 07 Apr 2025 18:33:19 +0000 Wallo267 is once again drawing attention—not for a podcast moment, but for an act of compassion on a freeway overpass.

A video that has since gone viral shows the Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-host assisting law enforcement in calming a distressed man who appeared on the verge of jumping from a bridge. While official details remain limited, the footage captures Wallo standing at the edge of a highway, engaging directly with the man in crisis.

https://twitter.com/itsavibe/status/1909239108993507802

The clip, recorded by a passing driver, pans to the roadside as the driver narrates, “Look at Wallo trying to save a man.” That brief but powerful moment has sparked a wave of conversation across social media.

Wallo has yet to speak publicly about the incident, but his podcast co-host Gillie Da Kid weighed in online. On X, Gillie shared the video and wrote, “He outside trying to stop people from jumping. Fake a** negotiator @Wallo267. Good job, Lo.”

While the comment carried Gillie’s signature humor, it also acknowledged Wallo’s intervention. Fans were quick to echo the praise. One wrote, “He’s really about uplifting the community—this isn’t just for the internet.”

Others questioned the ethics of filming such a private, painful moment. “Just keep driving. Not everything needs to be documented,” one user commented.

The incident reflects Wallo’s ongoing commitment to using his platform for good. Last year, he released a memoir, Armed With Good Intentions, which traces his transformation from a teenage inmate serving a 20-year sentence to an inspirational figure in media and activism. His efforts don’t end with storytelling—he’s increasingly become a real-time mediator in moments of tension.

Just weeks ago, Wallo attempted to diffuse the feud between Dipset’s Cam’ron and Jim Jones. Sharing an open letter to Instagram alongside a throwback photo of the duo, he reflected on their cultural impact and personal bond.

“From my prison cell, I watched you two bring Harlem’s energy to the world,” he wrote. “The connection was unmatched. What you had was more than music—it was a movement.”

Wallo’s words, whether on a podcast or a freeway, continue to resonate. His ability to humanize conflict and bring empathy into charged spaces has become a defining aspect of his post-prison life.

Whether he’s holding a mic or reaching out to someone in despair, Wallo’s voice remains a steady force for healing and accountability.

Wallo Shares Why He Asked Lil Durk Not To Seek Revenge For King Von’s Death https://www.hot97.com/news/wallo-shares-why-he-asked-lil-durk-not-to-seek-revenge-for-king-vons-death/ https://www.hot97.com/news/wallo-shares-why-he-asked-lil-durk-not-to-seek-revenge-for-king-vons-death/#respond Fri, 21 Feb 2025 01:33:07 +0000 Wallo recently shared why he attempted to persuade Lil Durk to move in another direction.

During an appearance on Club Shay Shay, Wallo explained why went to Durk to plead with him not to avenge the murder of King Von’s 2020 murder. After Von’s death, Durk invited him to Chicago to speak with members of his crew.

“It was so emotional because Durk said, ‘I need you to come here… I need you to talk to [them],’” Wallo told Shannon Sharpe. “That’s what he told me. He said, ‘I need you to talk to them, Wallo.’ I said, ‘All right, I’ll talk to them.”

During the viral encounter, Wallo was overcome with tears when he spoke about his brother’s murder and his decision to forgive the killer.

“When I’m talking to them … I understand that nothing is more important in the ghetto than revenge,” Wallo explained. “Revenge is king, the closest thing to God. Because the Black man is willing to die about his ego. The ego killed more Black men than any other disease. Nothing killed Black men more than the ego.”

“It was emotional for me because I’m letting them know [that] the man that killed my brother, I forgave him. Am I a coward? Am I a punk? I don’t know what that sh*t means,” he continued.  “But I knew that forgiving him meant that I was willing to live for my brother in an environment where we celebrate dying for somebody.”

“I said, ‘No. I’m going to live for my brother, my grandma, my brother’s kids, my mama,’” he said. “I’m going just tell you something, Shannon. I’m not built like that—to go kill no Black man. I’m not built like that. I’m not designed like that. I’m not tough like that. I’m not ruthless like that. I’m not heartless like that. That’s just not me … I don’t give a fuck how I die, I don’t care what happen, but if a Black man kill me, you’re going to hear my scream until life end … You’re going to hear my pain. My tears is going to flood the ghettos of America.”

Sadly, Durk did not heed Wallo’s advice. In November, Durk was arrested for his alleged role in a murder-for-hire scheme. It was alleged he tried to a plot to kill rival rapper Quando Rondo who was accused of the 2020 murder of Durk’s friend, King Von.

According to court documents, Durk reportedly attempted to flee the U.S. and booked several international flights shortly after five associates connected to his Only the Family (OTF) label were taken into custody.

Currently, he is incarcerated in Los Angeles.

If convicted, Durk could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Gillie Da Kid & Wallo267 Urge Kodak Black To Change His Way Of Life https://www.hot97.com/news/gillie-da-kid-wallo267-urge-kodak-black-to-change-his-way-of-life/ https://www.hot97.com/news/gillie-da-kid-wallo267-urge-kodak-black-to-change-his-way-of-life/#respond Mon, 18 Nov 2024 13:34:09 +0000 On Friday (Nov. 15), Kodak Black appeared on the latest episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game. During the nearly 47-minute segment, the rapper gave viewers a glimpse into his life, showcasing his impressive car collection and revisiting his roots in Pompano Beach.

Kodak Black’s 2024 has been marked by turbulence, but the rapper seems intent on finding stability with the right support around him. Released from Broward County Jail in February after a probation violation, the “Super Gremlin” artist is navigating his way forward, bolstered by those urging him to embrace a more grounded path.

Midway through the conversation, hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo offered Kodak heartfelt advice, encouraging him to reflect on his responsibilities and influence.

“There are going to be times when you doubt yourself or feel pain, but those babies are counting on you. You’ve got to be here,” Wallo told the father of four, emphasizing the importance of staying present. He cautioned against surrounding himself with enablers, adding, “A lot of people see your success and just say ‘yes’ to you. I’m not here to be one of them.”

Wallo went further, urging Kodak to recognize the weight of his platform. “We’ve got to learn to change the narrative. A lot of young people are watching you.”

It’s a sentiment the hosts have shared with other high-profile guests, including Pooh Shiesty, the late Young Dolph, and Young Thug before his incarceration. Gillie echoed this perspective, reminding Kodak of his stature in the industry.

“Sometimes you need to be reminded that you’re really him. A lot of people look up to you, just like they look up to NBA YoungBoy, Durk, or King Von.”

The timing of Kodak’s interview is noteworthy, coming shortly after a polarizing appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream. In early November, the rapper drew criticism after footage circulated of him consuming a Percocet and slurring his words, sparking concern among fans and detractors alike. Kodak brushed off the backlash, dismissing social media reactions as “butthurt.”

Despite the challenges, Kodak remains a central figure in contemporary rap, with a fan base that continues to grow. As he moves through a year of personal and public scrutiny, his ability to heed wisdom and recalibrate his trajectory will likely define his next chapter.

Gillie Da Kid Says Being A Rapper Is Harder Than Having A Regular Job https://www.hot97.com/news/gillie-da-kid-says-being-a-rapper-is-harder-than-having-a-regular-job/ https://www.hot97.com/news/gillie-da-kid-says-being-a-rapper-is-harder-than-having-a-regular-job/#respond Thu, 27 Feb 2025 17:49:03 +0000 Gillie Da Kid has never been one to hold back. Known for his sharp lyricism and unfiltered opinions, he recently ignited debate by claiming that life as a rapper is harder than a traditional nine-to-five job.

The constant pressure to create, perform, and maintain public relevance, he argues, demands a level of commitment far beyond the structure of a typical workday. Having navigated both the highs and lows of the industry, he understands the mental and emotional toll that comes with success in music. His comments have sparked discussion, but they also highlight the relentless demands of a career in hip-hop.

Born Nasir Fard in North Philadelphia, Gillie Da Kid became a cornerstone of the city’s rap scene, earning a reputation for his wit and raw storytelling. His journey from underground rapper to media mogul has made him one of the most recognizable voices in hip-hop culture. Beyond music, he has built a following through podcasting and, more recently, as an unofficial hype man for the Philadelphia Eagles.

His biggest venture outside of rap is Million Dollaz Worth of Game, a podcast he co-hosts with his cousin Wallo. Wallo, a former member of Major Figgas, served 20 years in prison for armed robbery before reinventing himself as a speaker and entrepreneur. Their show, which airs weekly on Barstool Sports, has become a must-listen for fans of hip-hop, business, and raw, unfiltered conversations about life.

Featuring guests like Deion Sanders, Ice Cube, and Tyrese Maxey, the podcast blends entertainment with hard-earned wisdom, making it a favorite among listeners drawn to their candid discussions on success and struggle.

Gillie’s evolution from rapper to media personality has cemented his influence beyond music. Whether breaking down industry politics, offering life advice, or celebrating Philadelphia sports, he remains a cultural fixture in his city. His voice carries weight not just for his talent but for his authenticity—he speaks from experience, and his audience listens.

From his early days with Major Figgas to his reign as a podcasting heavyweight, Gillie Da Kid has built a career defined by reinvention. He continues to represent Philadelphia’s spirit—gritty, outspoken, and unapologetically real.

Whether commanding a stage, a microphone, or a stadium of Eagles fans, his presence is impossible to ignore.

50 Cent On DJ Clue: “He’s A B*tch A** N-Word” https://www.hot97.com/news/50-cent-on-dj-clue-hes-a-btch-a-n-word/ Wed, 04 Sep 2024 15:39:40 +0000 50 Cent rips well-known New York DJ and radio personality DJ Clue while explaining DJs importance in today’s hip-hop with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo on the Million Dollarz Worth of Game podcast.

The 49-year-old film and television mogul mentions Clue, 49, as the only DJ he’s ever had an issue with when asked by Wallo about managers, influencers, and DJs. “I’ve never had an argument with a DJ – outside of DJ Clue because he’s a B*tch A** N***a, right – he just did some sh*t that made me look at him like that made me look at him like that n***a a b*tch. But outside of that I’ve never had an issue with a DJ, period, right. And it’s because I need them.”

https://twitter.com/brysonboompaul/status/1830823836218008037

Wallo would ask 50 Cent how much DJs still mattered and the mogul replied: “They still matter. The young demo don’t give a f*ck what you talking about when we talking about DJs because their streaming is going to happen before the DJs play the record. When you do play it, I’m already hot n***a. You playing it because I got an audience… They (DJs) still important because it (records) doesn’t make it to the mainstream if they don’t touch it.”

After calling out Clue, 50 would mention him again in the interview as someone he took a meeting with before signing with Eminem’s Shady Records in 2002.

“I met with everybody,” said 50 before mentioning Clue and his Desert Storm record label. “I met with Clue, Desert Storm, and all of them. It was because I wanted them to say they were doing a deal with me. First thing they do when they came in – Skane came in with them – He said, ‘Yo we talked to the wolves, they said it was okay to talk to you. You think I’d do a deal with a n***a that’s gotta ask somebody if it’s okay to talk to me?”

In 2020, 50’s beef with DJ Clue broke out after the DJ allegedly refused to play music by late-rap star Pop Smoke. At the time, the mogul posted a photo of the DJ, explicitly captioned:

“This fool @djclue got in his feelings, and said he not playing POP Smoke new joint because he didn’t get the record first. “FUCK YOU CLUE, you don’t mean shit! @funkflex been kicking your ass up and down the street for years you little retard. I done sold 30 million records you think i give a fuck if you play my music is you stupid, is you dumb nigga?” 50 added. “I think you should get punched in the face, i don’t know why, but I’m almost sure you gone get punched in the face. Nothing crazy just a lowercase L You know the vibes n***a.”

Throughout the late 90s DJ Clue gained popularity with his The Professional album series. In 1999, Clue was appointed the DJ of the Hard Knock Life Tour featuring Jay-Z, DMX, and Method Man & Redman. DJ Clue was a DJ at Hot 97 from 1998 to 2006.

He founded Desert Storm in 1998 and introduced the world to rap star Fabolous. DJ Clue would appear as himself in 2005’s Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories video game.

DJ Clue has not responded to 50 Cent’s comments at this time.
