Cam’ron isn’t holding back when it comes to Kanye West’s latest round of chaos. The Harlem rapper addressed Ye’s recent behavior on his Talk With Flee show, offering his unfiltered thoughts on everything from Kanye’s social media rants to his beefs with other artists.
“He’s always had wild quotables,” Cam said. “From the time he said, ‘George Bush doesn’t like Black people’—that just happened to be on CNN. It looked bold instead of bizarre. But he’s been on this type of time for years.”
Cam’ron called out Kanye’s recent remarks about JAY-Z and his children, making it clear that there are lines you don’t cross. “I was disgusted. Why are you mentioning another man’s kids? That’s not only out of bounds, it’s desperate.” He also pointed out the contradiction between Kanye’s wealth and his emotional state, saying, “He talks about having all this money, but he doesn’t look like someone who’s at peace.”
As for Kanye’s choice to wear a Black Ku Kl*x Klan-style outfit, Cam wasn’t shocked. To him, it’s just another stunt in a long list of outrageous moments. But what really rubbed Cam the wrong way was Kanye downplaying Kendrick Lamar’s status in hip hop. “You’re saying Kendrick’s not number one, but where’s your work? You don’t just claim greatness—you prove it.”
Cam’ron also reflected on an earlier run-in with Kanye and questioned the authenticity of his so-called erratic behavior. “Kanye, he play crazy with who he wanna play crazy with,” he said on All the Smoke. “That n-gga’s crazy when it’s convenient.”
Ultimately, Cam said he’s never seen the version of Kanye that makes headlines and that’s exactly why he’s skeptical.
