Lil Wayne still feels let down by the NFL..

The legendary rapper said the NFL “f**ked up” by not inviting him to perform during the Halftime show at Super Bowl LIX.

In a Rolling Stone cover interview, Wayne went into detail about being left out performing at the Super Bowl, which was held in his hometown of New Orleans in favor of Kendrick Lamar.

“They stole that feeling. I don’t want to do it. It was perfect,” Wayne explained.

As the interview went on, Wayne played some tracks from his forthcoming Tha Carter 6 album for the reporter.

“They coulda had some music… But instead, they got rappin’,” Wayne said to Andre Gee between playing his new songs. “They f—ed up.”

The “Block Is Hot” rapper also shared that he tried his best to appease the powers that be from the NFL, and he still wasn’t selected to perform.

“To perform, it’s a bunch of things [the NFL] going to tell you to do and not do, asses to kiss and not kiss,” he said.

“If you notice, I was a part of things I’ve never been a part of. Like [Michael] Rubin’s all-white parties. I’m doing s— with Tom Brady. That was all for that,” Wayne continued. “You ain’t never seen me in them types of venues. I ain’t Drake. I ain’t out there smiling like that everywhere. I’m in the stu’, smokin’ and recording.”

When Lamar was announced as the headliner, Wayne expressed his dismay at not being chosen for his hometown’s Super Bowl.

“It hurt a whole lot,” Wayne said on Instagram at the time.

Although he vehemently agreed with the decision, Wayne said that he spoke to Lamar.

“I’ve spoken to him and I wished him all the best and told him [he] better kill it,” Wayne said on The Skip Bayless Show.

Upon reflecting, Wayne admitted that he was not ready to be rejected by the NFL.

“I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown and for automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position,” Wayne said.
