Lil Wayne is breathing new energy into Young Money, unveiling a reimagined roster that pairs rising talent with familiar names. Launched in the early 2010s, the label quickly became a launchpad for breakout stars like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Jae Millz, and Gudda. In the years that followed, artists such as Euro and Cory Gunz joined the fold—and in 2025, they’ll continue to represent the brand alongside longtime affiliate Lil Twist.
On the latest episode of Young Money Radio on Apple Music, Lil Wayne introduced a refreshed roster—Jay Jones, Allan Cubas, Domiio, Poppy, and Lucifena—bringing fresh energy alongside familiar names in a strategic shift for the label’s creative direction. As anticipation mounts for Tha Carter VI, set to drop on June 6, the album promises standout contributions from Young Money’s core collaborators. Its cover art revisits the iconic imagery of Wayne’s past works, featuring a jubilant baby Weezy marked by his signature face tattoos, a tribute to the legacies of Tha Carter III and Tha Carter IV.
Wayne’s Star-Studded Album: Miley Cyrus, U2’s Bono, Andrea Bocelli & More
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Wayne revealed the star-studded lineup for his upcoming album, featuring collaborations with pop icon Miley Cyrus, U2’s Bono, and the legendary Andrea Bocelli. The project will also showcase contributions from Machine Gun Kelly, dancehall legend Elephant Man, and Wayne’s 15-year-old son, Kameron.
The project is driven by a formidable team of producers, including Wyclef Jean, Wheezy, and possibly Kanye West. In addition to his production duties, Wyclef is leading an informal collective with Wayne called “Gumbo,” which brings together celebrated New Orleans artists such as Jon Batiste, Ledisi, Trombone Shorty, and PJ Morton.
Reflecting on the album’s varied lineup of collaborators, Wayne shared, “If there’s one thing about this album that’s different, it’s me approaching it like, ‘Man, what would I sound like on something with such and such?’” Amid his current ventures, the Young Money mogul teased the idea of revisiting a sequel to his 2006 project with Birdman, Like Father, Like Son. This time around, he envisions his teenage sons—Kameron, Dwayne III, and Neal—joining him, each already forging their path in the music industry.
