Rihanna just gave Twitch star Kai Cenat a moment he’ll never forget. During a livestream on Monday, April 7th, the 23-year-old streamer revealed that the global superstar slid into his Instagram DMs and his reaction was priceless.
In true Kai fashion, he erupted into screams and took laps around his room before blasting Rihanna’s hit “Diamonds” and singing along at the top of his lungs. Once he calmed down, he held his phone up to the camera and showed viewers the DM Rihanna had sent.
“Kaaaaaaiii!!! I love this,” she wrote in response to a recent viral moment where Kai gave away free pizza to young fans who recognized him at a local pizzeria. Rihanna added, “I know you do this all the time but the kids they genuinely love you. Great job all around man.”
Stunned and full of emotion, Cenat responded on stream: “This is crazy. This is insane. Thank you, man.”
The video Rihanna referred to in the DM shows two children excitedly spotting Kai while waiting for pizza with their parents. After chatting with them, Kai tells their father he’ll cover whatever the kids want, creating a heartwarming moment that quickly made the rounds online.
While this is the first time Rihanna herself has publicly messaged Cenat, it seems there’s already a connection between him and her inner circle. Her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky, reportedly sent Kai some Christmas gifts, though Cenat said he wasn’t able to wear them due to existing brand commitments.
Either way, getting love and a DM from Rihanna herself? That’s a next-level co-sign for the young streaming sensation.
