Earlier this week, Joe Biden opened up about his recent cancer diagnosis in a social media post. The former president took to Instagram, sharing a photo of himself snuggling up next to his wife, former First Lady Jill Biden. The pair appeared cozy on the couch with their pet cat in tow.

“Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,” Biden wrote in the caption.

On Sunday (May 18), The New York Times reported that Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer. In a statement to the outlet, representatives from Joe Biden’s office revealed the former President had been suffering from frequent “urinary symptoms” for quite some time. After undergoing diagnostic testing it was discovered that he had a “small nodule” on his prostate.

Joe Biden Found To Have Severe ‘Metastasis To The Bone’

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the statement begins.

“On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” it continues. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Accusations surrounding Joe Biden’s health and “mental acuity” declining have been circulating for quite some time. On the campaign trail, Donald Trump made several accusations about his “mental competency” and being forced to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.
